Class action law suit by Saudee Schelkopf LLC got our bikes back with cooperation of Travelers insurance to cover bankrupt transport company. I’m still pleasantly surprised that it all came about! This is just amazing!!

I was recently, with roughly 180 other Team USA triathletes, caught in the middle of a dispute between a company that we paid to ship our bikes to a race in Spain and the company that firm contracted to transport the bikes overseas. The first company couldn't pay it's bill and so the second company held our bikes as a lien against the first company, with all of us caught in the middle. Sauder Schelkopf took the case as a potential class action at no cost to us, and while we the athletes are not privy to how things worked behind the scenes, it is likely that the legal pressure applied by Sauder Schelkopf to both the shipper holding the bikes and to the company that we paid to transport them ultimately resulted in the transport company's insurer intervening to get the bikes returned to we the owners. I appreciated having a voice looking out for our interests in the process and not having to try and engage with a lawyer on my own accord at probably more expense than the bike itself was worth. Ultimately, I'm glad to have my bike back and grateful for the role Sauder Schelkopf played in the process. I found that, even though most of us were, as of the time of resolution, not technically part of the class action (the suit having not yet been certified as a class action), the firm kept us abreast of goings-on with clear and consistent communication.

I believe that Sauder Schelkopf is responsible for the return of approximately $1 million in property that belonged to members of the team representing the U.S. in the 2023 World Championships but was being held by a freight company.
