Subaru Premature Battery Failure – Class Action Lawsuit

The law firm of Sauder Schelkopf has filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of owners of Subaru Ascent, Outback, Forester and Legacy vehicles (MY 2016-2019) that are prone to premature battery failure. Specifically, it has been alleged that the batteries in these vehicles may not only be undersized, but these vehicles may also have a defect resulting in a constant electrical drain on the battery. As a result, these batteries may suffer premature failure and require early replacement. Unfortunately, customers are often forced to pay out of pocket for these battery replacements even when the vehicles are still under warranty.

On May 5, 2020, Judge Schneider of the District of New Jersey appointed Matthew D. Schelkopf of Sauder Schelkopf as co-lead counsel in this litigation.
