Sauder Schelkopf Announces $43.5 Million PEX Products Nationwide Class Action Settlement

Sauder Schelkopf is pleased to announce a $43.5 million nationwide class action settlement related to plumbing products manufactured by NIBCO.  Sauder Schelkopf served as court appointed co-lead counsel in the lawsuit, which was filed in December 2013 and involved NIBCO’s PEX tubing, fittings, and clamps. It is alleged that the PEX products are prone to failure, leading to water damage.  “This case was fiercely contested for over five years. The proposed settlement is an excellent result for homeowners.  It provides substantial relief for past and future failures of NIBCO’s PEX products, including the option for a replumb,” said Joe Sauder of Sauder Schelkopf.
