Sexual assault and gender-based discrimination cases have been in the news quite a bit lately, but victims are not limited to famous Hollywood celebrities or people working in politics.
In fact, with the recent “Me Too” campaigns in social media, it has become clear that sexual assault and discrimination are – unfortunately – still rampant in American society today.
Sauder Schelkopf has a nationally recognized sexual assault practice. We currently represent former males who were sexually abused by Dr. Richard Strauss while they were students and student-athletes at Ohio State University (“OSU”). Read about our OSU case here. We also represent females who were patients of Dr. George Tyndall, a gynecologist at the University of Southern California accused of sexually assaulting students since the 1990s. Read about our USC case here.
Sauder Schelkopf is investigating potential litigation on behalf of individuals who have been sexually assaulted by clergy in the Catholic Dioceses in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court recently released a grand jury report on sex abuse in the Catholic Church, listing more than 300 accused clergy and detailing a “systematic” coverup effort by church leaders over 70 years. The report identified more than 1,000 child victims. The investigation is the most comprehensive yet on Catholic Church sex abuse in the United States. The report covered eight of Pennsylvania’s dioceses — Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Scranton, Erie, and Greensburg. Please contact us here for a free confidential consultation.
